Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates and manages the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising Sales Program to include, but not limited to, develops strategy; sells print and digital marketing packages; matches target population and events with potential sponsors; determines opportunities for sponsors and advertisers; develops proposal packages; solicits sponsorships and oversees selection of sponsors, sponsorship agreements, advertising sales agreements; and promotes supports of the program. Maintains accounting/record keeping, evaluates events and initiates follow-up communication with sponsors.
  • Develops proposal packages, negotiates best terms for CNIC FFR, initiates contracts, ensures necessary legal reviews are completed, and obtains required signatures. Ensures the contractual "quid pro quo" is fulfilled through execution of considerations and completion of evaluation/follow-up reports.
  • Develops training and educational materials on event marketing and commercial sponsorship for Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) departments. Serves as CNIC FFR's expert on sponsorship and advertising regulations, policies, procedures, and/or practices.
  • Provides visibility for CNIC FFR and disseminates information by making presentations to individuals or groups regarding CNIC FFR facilities, services, programs available for commercial sponsorships, and/or ability to prospect to build and maintain sales leads.
  • Establishes and maintains continuous liaison with regional commercial sponsorship managers, recreation program managers, key staff personnel, installations, and/or groups to gather information pertinent to FFR programs, services, and/or events in an effort to solicit sponsorship and participation.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with existing and potential sponsors and advertising buyers, community businesses, corporate contacts, community service clubs, and/or military support groups to gather information pertinent to soliciting sponsorship and participation.
  • Serves as branch representative on special event planning committees. Conducts special meetings with staff members to ensure deadlines, sponsorship and advertising fulfillment, equipment, materials, and/or departmental commitments are being met for each event.
  • Develops and implements event promotional plans including initiation of graphic work orders, advertising placement, and management of in-kind advertising, development of news releases, and distribution of publicity materials.
  • Prepares Purchase Order and Contract requests in compliance with accounting standards for required purchases.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess at least one of the following:

  • A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relative field of study.
  • Three years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D in a relative field of study.
  • Three years of specialized experience implementing sponsorship and advertising regulations, policies, procedures or practices.
  • A combination of education and specialized experience.
A qualified candidate also possess at least one of the following:
  • Knowledge of CNIC (or similar) organizational structure and mission(s).
  • Knowledge of the fundamental principles and techniques involved in the operational management of a program.
  • Knowledge of and skill in working with a Commercial Sponsorship program.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms.
  • Knowledge of military programs.
  • Skill in organizing and planning events.
  • Skill with digital sales.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Ability to understand, adhere to, and/or explain complex regulations, instructions and directives as related to Commercial Sponsorship/Advertising and CNIC FFR program management.
  • Ability to develop customized presentations, deliver to, and address groups.
  • Ability to evaluate the adequacy of programs and to make recommendations for improvement or correction.
  • Ability to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports.
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing to solicit commercial sponsorship, negotiate agreements, and prepare after-action reports.

Education

This position does not have a positive education requirement.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
