Assists the Food and Beverage Manager with the golf course food and beverage operations to include snack bar, tournament functions, two tum shack food operations and beverage carts of the Moose Run 36-hole golf course. Food and beverages activities include, but are not limited to, snack bars, catering, snack shacks, food trucks, beverage carts, and any other operations related to food and beverage.
Assists in directing the day-to-day operation that provides food and beverage service. Communicates the policies and objectives of management to non-supervisory employees. Performs related support duties required to include ordering food supplies, cost menu cards, stocking, inventory, and food handling. Operates vehicle to pick up supplies, run errands, etc. Responsible for the operation's cleanliness, sanitation and compliance with AF health and safety regulations. Required to collect money, operate a cash register/POS and prepare documentation for cash accountability, and makes daily deposits.
Maintains a clean and orderly work area. Assists the Food & Beverage Manager by leading the snack bar and on-course F&B staff. Assists in interviewing, scheduling and training for daily requirements and special events, as required. Balances workload and assures that workers have sufficient tasks to perform. Sets the pace and leads the employees. Checks work in progress to ensure compliance with established methods and reports progress of work to the supervisor. Provides input on performance, progress, and disciplinary problems. Enforces established operating policies and procedures. Maintains the facility by making decisions based on their understanding of recreational requirements. Opens and closes the facility as required.
Makes operational decisions while on shift. Adheres to established policies to provide above average recreational facilities. Is responsible for all properties and assets during their assigned shift. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Works under the supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience leading staff at a restaurant, club, or similar activity and must know how and why tasks are performed. Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to food preparation gained in a grill, snack bar, restaurant, club or similar food activity. Must have cash handling experience that included direct handling of cash items, and use of cash accountability control methods. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and must be able to withstand kitchen heat. Must be able to withstand continual standing, walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending and exposure to freezer temperatures. Must be able to obtain a food handler and health card.
Conditions of Employment: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to satisfactorily pass a preemployment physical. Must satisfactorily complete a Background Investigation Tier 1 Level. Must possess a valid driver's license and provide current driving record.
