Responsible for the operation of the Sticker Café, Deadwood Café' and Club food and bar beverages operation.
Supervises, directs, and coordinates the food and beverage staff to include, cooks, food service workers, bartenders and bar assistants.
Responsible for the quality and quantity of work produced by employees; works within set limits of cost and time. Assists with the development of the annual budget and financial planning.
Tracks established labor, food/beverage costs, making adjustments necessary to meet budget goals.
Monitors daily Profit and Loss statement for food and beverage operation to ensure accuracy. Makes decisions or recommendations regarding the expenditure of resources.
Responsible for support duties, ensures establishing and maintaining par stocks, ordering appropriate quantities of food, beverages and supplies. Ensures compliance with Air Force Instructions for health, safety, and sanitization.
Under the direction of the Community Services Flight Chief, establishes, reviews, and evaluates menu planning including seasonal inserts, bar food and special events.
Ensures items are ordered and received in accordance with Air Force Instructions.
Monitors methods of food storage, preparation, and cooking. Checks food at all stages of preparation for conformance to high standards and quality, ensuring proper procedures and recipes are used.
Establishes controls to prevent pilferage and spoilage. Accountable for the quantity and quality of work performed by assigned staff to include, assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates, and evaluating their work performance approving or disapproving leave or other absences from work; planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations, solving problems related to the work supervised; explaining and gaining the support of subordinates for management policy and goals; and for dealing effectively with employees and representatives of personnel on employee suggestions, complaints, grievances and other matters.
Maintains employee personnel folders and ensures proper filing of administrative items and documentation of training, feedback and disciplinary actions.
Monitors training certifications and employee checklists to ensure they are current.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Works under the direct supervision of the Community Services Flight Chief.

Qualifying Experience:
Must have progressively responsible professional, technical or other work which has provided a general knowledge of management principles and practices or progressively responsible experience in one or more of the functions food and beverage management.
Must have a working knowledge of bar and food operations with specific experience in the following areas: receiving, procurement, customer service, inventory procedures, budgeting, and cash handling.
Applicants must have experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise, train, motivate and schedule subordinates in the accomplishment of bar and food related duties.
Skill in oral and written communication; ability to utilize and apply knowledge to plan and carry out business and/or recreational activities of a program segment that meets the needs of the community.
Must possess the ability to work effectively with individuals or groups to accomplish work/tasks.
Applicants must possess excellent verbal, interpersonal, and public relations skills
.
Applicants must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sales.
Must be physically able to lift and carry objects weighing 50 pound.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a physical pre-employment.
Knowledge of Aloha, Food-Trak and Cataerease software food service program is desired.
Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 1 Level) is required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
