Summary
You will serve as a SECURITY ASSISTANT (RANGE OPERATIONS) in the Commander, Navy Installations; Department of the Navy of WEPSTA SEAL BCH SECURITY DET.
Current permanent employees, Current or former Interchange Agreement employees, and DoD Military Spouse Preference (MSP) eligibles, DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference eligibles and DoD Retained Grade Preference eligibles.
You will document small arms range operations schedules (e.g., range cleaning, brass removal and certification, facility management) to ensure the range remains operational.
You will advise other employees on regulatory requirements for the Small Arms Range maintenance and cleaning.
You will interact with the public tactfully to provide assistance to general questions and nonemergency situations.
You will prepare reports (e.g., industrial hygiene, environmental) to management for status updates on small arms range operations.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing a variety of small arms range operations support; 2) Ensuring that hazardous waste management, industrial hygiene, small arms brass gleaning, small arms range maintenance, lead awareness or brass and debris disposal are in accordance with established policies and procedures; 3) Maintaining scheduled range cleaning, industrial hygiene and environmental reports.
