Make behavioral health diagnoses and provide individual and group therapy, using various modalities such as brief problem-focused psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and client-centered therapy through evidence based clinical modalities.
Provide targeted assessments of patients, including diagnostic impressions or functional status focused on the presenting problem.
Plan and organize work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust long and short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Supervise assigned professional and paraprofessional employees, military personnel, federal civilian employees, and provide technical oversight to contract employees assigned to the Clinic.
Review and approve the appropriate modality of each patient as well as future disposition direction.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Social Worker (Clinical):
Degree: Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
