As an Electronics Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12 (ADDEND 3), you will perform operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integrated systems; complete operational checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU); solve problems by analyzing installation, circuitry, and operating characteristics of the systems; adjust and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuators, servos, computers and other related components; remove faulty LRUs for shop repair; install serviceable components into aircraft and perform total systems alignments; accomplish technical manual compliance and modification of components and systems and complete systems checkout for proper operation; maintain, modify, calibrate and inspect a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment; complete bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modification, programming, reprogramming, mating, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units; use a variety of test equipment such as automatic test equipment, oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets; test and troubleshoot solid state electronic assemblies and subassemblies; identify faulty parts and repair; ensure and certify operational integrity of night vision systems and electro-optical components; perform alignment and make shop checks; conduct debriefing of aircrews to determine the nature of system malfunctions and document maintenance performed and record information related to the system, LRU's, or shop repairable units on both aircraft and historical records; serve as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions; guide lower level mechanics in the performance of duties; conduct on-the-job training on assigned systems; ensure that material and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained and that funds are not obligated for material or parts without proper justification; prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations; serve as CADS/PADS Coordinator ensuring explosive cartridges are ordered through TAMIS; track aircraft CADS/PADS status; receive explosives from ammunition supply point and issue to users; transport explosives; store and dispose of out of date explosives.

Qualifications

Military Grades: Enlisted (E-4 - E7) and or Warrant Officer (WO1-CW2)

Minimum Requirements: Experience or training which demonstrates the applicants knowledge of electronic theories and practices to identify, isolate and repair malfunctions in one or more complex integrated systems where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error data and trace back through a number of units of the system to locate deficiencies. Thorough knowledge of principles of digital and analog circuits, electro-mechanical devices, solid state devices, digital techniques, synchro/servo operation and integrated circuit theory. Ability to interpret and trace schematics, logic and wiring diagrams and use a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (must have 18 months) experience or training in utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic integrated systems equipment. Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. Experience in using a wide variety of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications.
