Summary

The Rumpel Fitness Center is Ft McCoy's full-service fitness facility that features a range of cardiovascular equipment, free weights & everything needed for community members to achieve their fitness goals. The facility features a pool for lap swimming & a sauna/steam room for relaxation. The staff execute a variety of events and activities throughout the year including fitness classes, runs and basketball/volleyball tournaments.

Duties

Help
  • Assists patrons in the use of the facility and issues recreational equipment. Provides safety instructions and demonstrates the use of equipment and cleans equipment as needed.
  • Plans, conducts, publicizes and arranges support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory as well as receive and resolve customer complaints.
  • Responsible for cash drawer/money handling using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
  • Shift varies. Shifts include mornings, nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be visible in your resume to get credit.
  • Possess current Lifeguard Certification
  • Possess current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Possess current Person Trainer Certification
  • Possess experience teaching group fitness classes
