This position is assigned to the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Pacific Missile Range Facility(PMRF). The purpose of this position is to assist management with Category C (Cat C) movie program operations including sales, equipment operation, special events, and resale operations.

Summary
This position is assigned to the Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Division; Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR); Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Pacific Missile Range Facility(PMRF). The purpose of this position is to assist management with Category C (Cat C) movie program operations including sales, equipment operation, special events, and resale operations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
Opens and secures facility
Ensures auditorium, concession area and restrooms are clean prior to patrons arriving
Operates a Point of Sale (POS) to sell movie tickets and concession products
Ensures concession area is properly stocked prior to opening
Ensures movie hard drives and keys are delivered in a timely manner
Ingests and programs movie automation utilizing the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) projection equipment according to the current movie schedule
Ensures the scheduled movies are ready to be shown and projection and sound equipment are in good working order prior to the start time of each showing
Performs frequent checks inside the auditorium to ensure sound level and picture quality are properly set
Ensures no food, alcohol or other outside beverages are brought into the theater
Conducts security checks of oversized bags and backpacks of patrons entering the facility
Reports any problems or incidents to the theater manager
Oversees the evacuation of the theater in the event of an emergency
Ensures movie schedules and posters are posted in a timely manner
Ensures program operates according to CNIC instructions and CNIC Program standards, guidance and requirements
Handles unrule patrons and in cases of continued disturbances contacts the security office for further assistance
Must pass all applicable records and background investigations, including the required renewal for continuous employment.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
Must be able to register for direct deposit within 2 pay period.
Must live within the commuting distance.
Qualifications
Knowledge Required by the Position:
Ability to handle money accurately
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs, (e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), internet research and general personal computer operation
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Knowledge of CNIC Cash Handling procedures
Knowledge of CNIC Food Handling procedures
Supervisory Controls:
Works under the direct supervision of the Movie Program Operations Manager, who assigns work orally and in writing in terms of program objectives and desired results. Work is spot checked for accuracy. Employee performs tasks independently according to policies, instructions and accepted practices and refers situations not covered by instruction to the Movie Program Operations Manager.
Guidelines and Complexity:
Guidelines consist of various written manuals, instructions, program standards, notices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) The employee must continuously recognize and evaluate those conditions and elements, which impact program progress and adjust procedures and offerings to enhance the overall program effectiveness.
Scope and Effect, Personal Contacts and Purpose of Contacts:
Recreation activities and services provided directly contribute to the participant's morale and social development. Contacts are within patrons of all ages, program employees and department personnel. The purpose of contacts is to deliver quality program service.
Physical Demand and Work Environment:
The work requires frequent standing, walking, carrying and/or moving light to moderately heavy items up to 45 pounds and climbing stairs to access the projection booth. Work is performed indoors in air conditioned and heated spaces with exposure to normal office and theater/auditorium hazards which includes the possibility for cuts, burns and electrical shock from snack bad and projection equipment. Lighting varies from well lighted to dimly lit spaces (e.g., the projection booth)
