JOB TITLE: Marketing Technician
BUSINESS TITLE: Social Media/Web Content Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is in the Marketing Branch of Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS), Camp S. D. Butler, Okinawa, Japan, and reports to the Digital Marketing Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and manage social media, website content, email newsletter(s), and other digital communication content in support of marketing MCCS Okinawa activities.
Weekly responsibilities include creating and posting content on MCCS social media platforms, tracking and analyzing data, managing email newsletter(s), and updating and managing digital TV and marquee signage.
This position supports the Web Content Specialist by assisting with website content updates, posting event information, and ensuring the content is accurate and up to date. Additionally, the individual will be a backup and support for the Web Content Specialist during absences or high workload periods.
Provides World Class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists both internal and external customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Asks questions to determine, verify, and solve problems. Proactively checks for satisfaction with the quality of goods and services and takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts higher-level supervisors or appropriate point of contact for help when issues arise.
Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observed safe work procedures. Promptly report any observed workplace hazards, injury, occupational illness, or property damage from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.
Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as required.
