This position is open to Area 3 . Please refer to the AOC definitions under the Qualification Section. POSITION IS AN INDEFINITE POSITION WITH THE 169th MEDICAL GROUP.
This position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG) Group Commander's Support Staff (CSS) unit. The primary purpose of the position is to evaluate and manage the training and education program on behalf of the ANG (e.g., Mission Support Group, Operations Group, Flying Training Group, Fighter Group, Bomb Group, Cyber Operations Group) and its subordinate units. The role of this Group Training Manager (GTM) is to function as the Group Commander's key staff member responsible for overall oversight and management of the training and educational program.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.
5. The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, your organization, and its changing mission.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Air National Guard Officer Technicians - A high school diploma and a college degree are mandatory. An academic undergraduate degree with courses in education, grammar and composition, speech, psychology, guidance, and sociology; or, social and behavioral sciences is mandatory.
Air National Guard Enlisted Technicians - High school or general equivalent degree is mandatory. An under-graduate degree from an accredited college/university is optimum. An academic degree with courses in education, grammar and composition, speech, psychology, guidance, and sociology; or, social and behavioral sciences defines a best qualified candidate.
