Responsible for issuance of airline tickets and other accountable documents used by the travel agency within the ITT Office in conjunction with sales of air, cruise, and rail transportation and other related services. Performs or assists in the operation of the travel agency. Carries out assigned phases of the designated activity applying an understanding of the interests and needs of program participants. Demonstrates procedures common to the activity and instructs in the use of related equipment. Assists in planning, scheduling, and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants.
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
EVALUATIONS:
Must have a minimum of one year experience in customer service, with a minimum of six months experience in leisure travel and/or ticketing. Must have knowledge of ticketing procedures for air, cruises, and rail transportation. Must have knowledge of the operation of a computer reservation system (Sabre, Worldspan, Amadeous, or Appolo Ticketing System). Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing.
