Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP) will allow you to utilize your expertise overseeing the planning and execution of assigned acquisition program and providing staff support to senior acquisition officials on various aspects of acquisition program management. This position starts at a salary of $124,531.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $161,889.00 (GS-14, Step 10). In this Program Manager position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals involved in enhancing communication and cooperation between and ensuring command-wide coordination and facilitating inter-agency integrating and synchronization of efforts across DHS, while guiding the development and tailoring of emerging acquisition efforts; developing short and long range program plans, goals, objectives, and milestones; identifying and developing ways to resolve problems; proving expert analytical services, staff advice and assistance to senior leadership and the information/recommendations provided to enable decision makers to choose alternate policy/program options.Typical Work assignments include:

DHS Certification: This is a DHS acquisition certification-covered position. This position requires FAI FAC-P/PM Senior-Level Program Management certification with DHS P/PM Specialization, or the ability to obtain this certification within 18 months of placement. The position may also require DHS IT Specialization if assigned to an IT or Mixed Program.
