Duties

Help
  • Responsibilities include delegating duties to staff, set-up and completion of event, assistance with proper scheduling, labor control, linen control, and payment postings.
  • When required will function as Server, Food Runner, Cashier, or Bartender as needed.
  • Accountable for event props/materials and management of department equipment.
  • Responsible for the actions of the banquet staff and their performance on and off the event floor.
  • Recommends improvements concerning procedures, services, products, and revenue enhancement.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.

  • Must be willing to accept full-time employment.

  • Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or unique events.
  • An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • work experience directly related to banquet service, including, but not limited to the following:
    • Event set up, AND
    • scheduling of resources, AND
    • payment posting, AND
    • linen control, AND
    • account for equipment

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is NOT in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Night differential has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for Bargaining NF positions and will be paid at the rate of basic pay plus an additional 10 percent of that rate for all regular scheduled work between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. (including periods of leave and holidays).
  • Sunday premium pay has been authorized by the Collective Bargaining Agreement for regular NF bargaining employees and will be paid at the rate of 25% of the employee's basic rate of pay for all hours of a non-overtime tour of duty when any part of the scheduled tour is performed on Sunday (including periods of leave and holidays).
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will NOT be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • A nonforeign area allowance or differential is not granted to employees in payband levels NF-1 and NF-2 since their rates already are based on the prevailing rate.
