Duties

Help
  • Makes minor corrective adjustments to bowling alley machinery and performs periodic preventive maintenance on automatic handling equipment.
  • Cleans and conditions howling lanes and return racks; maintains proper stock levels of spare parts and pins for automatic pin setter and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment used. Ability to understand and follow work instructions.
  • Routine duties are performed independently. Problems are referred to the supervisor.
  • Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of bowling facilities.

  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, holiday's and special events.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation for Common Access Card to have physical access to federally controlled facilities.
  • May be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Selected applicant must be able to pass a Medical Physical Examination.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: To perform a variety of limited maintenance work within a bowling facility.

Applicant must:

1. Be able to understand and follow written instructions.
2. Have ability to handle tools and equipment used.
3. Be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
4. Be able to actively bend, stop, reach and work in awkward positions.

FWS Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
  • All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
  • Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.
Allowances, Incentives, and PCS Costs:
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will not be paid.
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
