Duties

Help

As an ELECTRONIC MEASUREMENT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC (SSC), WG-2602-11, you will:

  • Complete necessary Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS), calibrate, radiation reports and other records and forms on work completed
  • Ensure a maximum number of weapons systems are operationally ready.
  • Test equipment for sensitivity and correct operation.
  • Use equipment schematics to analyze circuits by preparing a block diagram showing major components such as amplifiers, filters, oscillators, and indicators.
  • Operate equipment to complete range checking for proper operation of positioning controls.
  • Performs functional electronic, physical, and radioactive testing involving interpretation and analysis of measurement data, by cyclic inspection requirements.

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:

Must have general experience in the following:

  • Experience or training that demonstrates a working knowledge of electronic principles involved in the generation and measurement of such elements as voltage, current, impedance, capacitance, frequency, and inductance.
  • Experience in the use of various precision measurement instruments and
    standards.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

Must have specialized experience in the following:
  • Utilizing electronic circuits to measure electronic or electrical quantities to determine the performance characteristics and accuracy of other instruments and equipment.
  • Interpreting and applying a variety of technical electronic information such as schematic symbols, mathematical expressions and formulas, calibration procedures, and other reference materials.
  • Applying established techniques and methods of repair, testing, alignment, and calibration of equipment, which serves as test equipment or precision measurement standards
  • Tracing signals and voltage paths, and skilled in the analysis of waveform characteristics such as timing, duration, frequency, and phasing.
  • Training with basic application of operating principles such as the production and utilization of oscillations over a broad range of frequencies
