Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary in nature; however, some duties will require periodic outdoor work and/or incidents assignments which may require rigorous physical activity walking, hiking in rough terrain, working in cramped positions, exposure to heat, cold and lifting. Both indoor and outdoor activities may necessitate long hours of duty, periods of intense concentration, and the ability to work effectively in a high stressful environment. Occasional travel and fields trips are required.
Working Conditions: Most of the work will be performed in a office setting with occasional travel to attend meetings, workshops and conferences. Field assignments will involve dust, smoke, heat, cold, extreme weather and lake conditions.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position suitable for telework.
