WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified Missouri traditional guard members and those eligible for enlistment, appointment or transfer into the Missouri Air National Guard.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
Maximum Military Grade - Lt Col (O-5)
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience which provided you with a working knowledge of the navigation systems, navigational instruments, etc., appropriate to the C-130 aircraft.
GS-12 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 36 months of specialized experience, education or training that has required you to obtain information on type of mission, weather and intelligence data, and special instructions; experience preparing navigation flight plans; experience that provided a knowledge of proper readings and operations of navigational systems. The specialized experience must also demonstrate your ability to test and inspect the operation of compasses, navigation systems, or radio and radar equipment; utilizing various navigational methods and aids to accomplish flying missions; computing the effect of various factors during flight to establish present course and project balance of course and ability to train, evaluate and certify proficiency and competency of lower graded personnel.
Must be certified as a Qualified Navigator Instructor, documentation must be submitted as part of the application for this position.
Must submit a Record of Aeronautical Experience (or an appropriate computer printout) as part of the application for this position.
Qualifications for this position require the Navigator/CSO to have graduated from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT). Documentation must be submitted as part of the application for this position.
This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
