The Service Center Operations Divisions are responsible for all aspects of facility operations, including operating, maintaining and sustaining high quality work environments. Each SCOD provides outleasing expertise, field support, guidance and operational expertise.
The Real Estate Division manages the acquisition of leased space – and the renovation of existing leased and federal space – to support customer agency real estate needs.
This position has job functions that must be executed within specific geographic locations. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home) within the specified geographic area. Positions include routine telework that are geographically specific to: Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Springfield, IL; Detroit, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI. You may be eligible to request to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency’s telework policy.

The GS-11 salary range starts at $72,553 per year. The GS-12 salary range starts at $86,962 per year. If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is utilizing project management practices and tools to manage or assist with construction and/or repair and alteration projects in a real estate environment. This experience must include:
● Managing projects (balancing scope/quality, schedule and budget) requiring the services of multiple disciplines (i.e., construction, design, IT, telecommunications, interior furnishings, etc.) from project planning phase through financial closeout;
● Interpreting customer needs and developing them into actionable requirements;
● Coordinating and balancing project plans, budgets, and schedules;
● Coordinating and facilitating decisions with multiple stakeholders;
● Applying procurement knowledge and experience to assist with managing contracts supporting assigned projects; and
● Participating in negotiations for sound real estate business transactions.

You may also qualify if you have completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or have successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

Have a combination of graduate education and specialized experience that when combined together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
