Adhering to the highest standards of professional conduct and integrity, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Office of the Chief Counsel (OCC) provides quality, timely, relevant, and solutions-oriented legal counsel and support to CISA officials and program offices charged with leading the National effort to understand and manage cyber and physical risks to our critical infrastructure.
The individual in this position will serve as the Deputy Chief Counsel for General Law and report to the Principal Deputy Chief Counsel for CISA OCC. Specifically, the Deputy Chief Counsel for General Law will be responsible for overseeing a team of legal experts that provide legal advice on a diverse portfolio of legal areas including, but not limited to, information law, fiscal and appropriations law, and administrative law and claims. A successful candidate in this position demonstrates excellent technical, supervisory, collaboration, and leadership skills. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to render legal advice in a fluid environment and, at times, to address novel situations under tight time frames. In addition, successful candidates have good judgment, effective communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a demonstrated willingness to be proactive and take initiative.
