WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory Emergency Management Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Serving as technical authority on all matters affecting regional public health emergency preparedness and responsible for implementing national public health emergency preparedness policies, goals, objectives, and priorities for the Office of Emergency Management and Medical Operations (EMMO).
Interacting with governmental, tribal, and private sector authorities; relays information to regional colleagues, the Secretary's Operations Center (SOC), and ASPR leadership on all matters related to public health emergencies.
Serving as the lead Federal Official for Public Health and Medical Incident management activities at the regional level.
Conducting and responding to incident response activities to include, but not limited to: sizing up requirements for deployment of proper Federal resources to meet the needs of a jurisdiction requesting Federal assistance; drafting scopes of work and cost estimates for mission assignments during Stafford Act declarations; and collecting, analyzing, and sharing relevant operational information to assist in forecasting anticipated resource requirements.
