This announcement is targeted toward high school students and first-year college students who are eligible for participation in the Department of the Army Internship Program and are pursuing or planning to pursue a qualifying degree in Physical Science. For this internship, you must be able to work full time when not attending classes (i.e. summers, fall and spring breaks, etc.). This position may be full-time or part-time and may require a minimum of 16 hours per week. The average work week is 16-40 hours per week. This position will be required to work during the school year. Daily work hours are flexible and will be Monday-Friday.This intern position is designed to prepare a student trainee for employment after graduation as a Physical Scientist. Interns will be assigned tasks designed to increase familiarity with the target occupation in a real world work environment.This opportunity follows a standard promotional path:
For this internship, you must be attending high school or a GED program and must be planning to pursue a degree in Physical Science after high school; OR you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment at least half time in an accredited academic institution and be pursuing a qualifying degree in Physical Science. You MUST submit an official or unofficial transcript or proof of enrollment/acceptance to be considered for this position.
