The incumbent serves as the park's senior Project Manager, providing project management and professional engineering advice and guidance on the planning, designing, constructing, expanding, rehabilitating and/or re-purposing of existing and/or new structures, facilities and assets. Your major duties will include:

If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Physical Demands: The work requires some physical exertion, such as periods of standing, or recurring and sometimes considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as in performing regular and periodic construction activities, field inspections, or to observe and study work operations in an industrial, storage, or comparable work area. Employees may carry light items such as books, instruments, and other similar materials. Depending on project assignments, the work will require driving a motor vehicle within the general geographic area of the park to reach other park facilities and local Bay Area shipyards where contracted work frequently takes place.
Working Conditions: The work is usually performed in an office setting. The work area may normally involve everyday ergonomic risks or discomforts requiring safety precautions typical of offices or meeting and training rooms; or may involve occasional exposure to conditions in production facilities, construction/project sites, roofs, boiler rooms, crawl spaces, stairs, hilly landscapes, gangways and docks, and complex ship interior and deck spaces all of which may require normal safety precautions.
RELOCATION / RECRUITMENT INCENTIVE: A one time relocation/recruitment incentive may be authorized.
The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
