MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:

To be eligible for this position at the GS-14 grade level, you must possess the following:

One full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following: 1) developing regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines to assist parks in protecting resources and values from energy and minerals exploration and development actives; (2) directing the activities of personnel by establishing work assignments, schedules, and priorities while ensuring accountability; (3) allocating budget to division program leaders, reviews project proposals, and oversees implementation; (4) maintaining working relationships across a broad spectrum, including high-level elected and appointed officials, representatives of the organization, other federal agencies, as well as state and local entities, corporations, and the general public.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

Selectee will be required to participate in the Direct Deposit Electronics Funds Transfer Program.
Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service). Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal government, you will be required to complete a one-year probationary period.
You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. If selected, you will be required to submit a valid driver's license prior to entry on duty.
You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to nights in a given month, five on average.
You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
You will be required to complete a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 on an annual basis.

Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, but may also require some travel to parks or other field locations to accomplish Branch program objectives. While in the field, the work may require some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces, or occasionally lifting moderately heavy items.

Working Environment: The work is performed primarily in an office setting. However, there may be considerable travel to attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and to visit Departmental offices and participate in on-site visits to parks. The incumbent may be exposed to moderate risks and discomforts as a passenger in small fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft, watercraft, or to varying environments associated with hot, cold, wet, or dry extremes.

The National Park Service has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.
