The U.S. Army Evaluation Center (AEC) is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (Acq Demo). Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaced GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The band NH03 is equal to the former GS-12 step 01 through GS-13 step 10. AEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $133,465.00.
These positions lead and facilitate ATEC's test and evaluation efforts for systems within the Effectiveness Directorates of AEC by performing duties as a Test Manager, Safety Evaluator, Performance Evaluator, and/or AST Chair. The Effectiveness Directorates serve as the focal point within the Army Evaluation Center (AEC) for overall management responsibility of developmental testing (DT) and system evaluations (effectiveness, suitability, survivability, and safety) of materiel systems and associated software. The Effectiveness Directorates include: Mounted Systems Evaluation Directorate, Aviation and Fires Evaluation Directorate, C4, Intel, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Evaluation Directorate, and Soldier Evaluation Directorate.
