In addition to meeting the basic education requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized experience listed below:
GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service performing the following duties:
1. Performing supervisor duties which include at least two of the following: Evaluating employee work; Assigning tasks; Identifying training needs: Addressing grievances or complaints of employees; Evaluating applicants for vacant positions AND EITHER 2. Managing operations and maintenance activities in a multi-functional organization related to at least 2 of the following business lines: navigation (lock & dam), hydroelectric plants, recreation, flood risk management, or environmental stewardship OR 3) Managing at least 2 of the following: budget development for business lines, developing budget estimates, budget execution, or scheduling funds.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For the GS-14 you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
