Degree: that included at least 30 semester hours in mathematics (including calculus) and the physical sciences (geophysics, physics, engineering, geology, astronomy, meteorology, electronics, etc.), OR Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Oceanography Series, 1360
Degree: major study of at least 24 semester hours in oceanography or a related discipline such as physics, meteorology, geophysics, mathematics, chemistry, engineering, geology, or biology, plus 20 additional semester hours in any combination of oceanography, physics, geophysics, chemistry, mathematics, meteorology, computer science, and engineering sciences, OR Combination of education and experience -- course work as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. PROGRAM COMPLETION AND CONVERSION:
This vacancy is for a one year program.
Recent Graduates may be non-competitively converted to a permanent position in the competitive service (or, in some limited circumstances, to a term position lasting 1-4 years) within 120 days of successful completion of the program.
To be eligible for conversion, Recent Graduates must:

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen apply for a Recent Graduate position within two years of completing a qualifying educational program (i.e., within the previous two years, the recent graduate must have completed a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution).
