About the location: Fort Greely is a remote location that is located in the Delta Junction area. It's located 100 miles southeast of Fairbanks. Winter delivers snow and ice conditions October through April with average temperatures of 8 to minus 19°F with extreme lows of minus 50 plus; summer temperatures rise into the 70s and 80s with up to 22 hours of daylight.
