This is a full-time term appointment in the excepted service not to exceed 3 Years. Term appointments may be extended beyond the initial term. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must (a) hold a bachelor's degree or higher that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, OR (b) possess a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS/KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Applicants will be evaluated on the following:
1) Academic Accomplishment (PhD is preferred) in English, Comparative Literature or a closely related field preferred.
2) Ability to teach core-curriculum courses in Composition and Introductory Literature.
