Duties
As a full performance Biologist (Biophysics), you will:
- Serve as a Program Manager determining strategic scientific direction of a bioimaging/biophysics research program and all the administrative activities that support the portfolio.
- Manage the research program by soliciting, reviewing, and recommending proposal selections and denials and promoting interagency collaborations.
- Propose and make changes to the research portfolio during budget approval for funding allocations.
- Advise on the planning and evaluation of research programs in the bioimaging/ biophysics field globally.
- Lead committees of all stakeholders representing Department of Energy and other programmatic interests in consulting and negotiating globally on sensitive issues.

BASIC REQUIREMENT:

Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.

Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown in above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
