This position is located in the Office Engineering Division within the Program Development Group of the Upper Colorado Basin, based in Provo, Utah. The selectee serves as an experienced engineer, offering civil engineering mentorship and expertise for a variety of complex projects and activities across the office. These projects typically span multiple geographic locations, involve complex features, and address unusual needs or special demands.

This position is designated as a LOW RISK position. It requires a fully completed and favorably adjudicated SF85 Background Investigation (T1 or equivalent) that is current (within the last 5 years). This is a condition of employment.
Certification is required to serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative as articulated in the DOI Acquisition, Assistance, and Asset Policy 0051, Federal Acquisition Certification and Programs Policy. Appropriate level must be attained within one (1) year of hire and must be maintained.
At the GS-12 grade level, a Professional Engineering (PE) registration from a state or territory of the United States is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration.

Physical Demands: The work is typically performed in an office setting with no special physical demands.
