Duties
- Reviews changes in new regulations and related agency/bureau policies impacting the payroll program to ensure application software is designed with the appropriate functional requirements and capabilities to ensure compliance.
- Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of existing application software utilized in the payroll program. Makes functional design enhancements or develops new capabilities to achieve the objectives of the organization.
- Reviews the existing internal control system impacting the payroll program to determine if the controls are adequate to provide reasonable assurance of meeting component objectives efficiently and effectively and of safeguarding government resources.
- Works closely with leaders of Government and private audit teams in the evaluation of system controls and validity of data. Provides data support and analysis, as requested.
