The Senior Level Appellate Counsel (False Claims Act) serves as a technical expert and coordinator for attorneys in the Appellate Staff and across the Division in False Claims Act litigation, and as a resource for other offices and agencies that require advice on difficult matters under the False Claims Act. Additionally, the incumbent assists, as appropriate, with the Division's False Claims Act cases in the Supreme Court, including preparing certiorari petitions and briefs for submission to the Court. The Senior Level Appellate Counsel (False Claims Act) prepares recommendations for or against appeal or rehearing in cases that fall within the incumbent's area of expertise, in which lower court decisions are averse to the government. The Senior Level Appellate Counsel (False Claims Act) also serves as a technical expert on other significant appellate litigation as assigned.

YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs):
Your responses to the MTQs should be submitted in one document that includes separate narrative statements addressing each of the 2 Mandatory Technical Qualifications (NOT TO EXCEED 2 PAGES PER MTQ, 4 PAGES TOTAL).
MTQ1. Demonstrated expertise and experience in personally handling exceptionally challenging and precedential appellate cases involving False Claims Act suits.
MTQ2. Demonstrated deep familiarity and experience with the procedural and strategic aspects of Supreme Court and appellate litigation on behalf of the federal government.
