Position serves as the assistant to the chief of the Resource Management Flight for 18th FSS. The Center provides support services in three main operational areas: central warehousing, property management, and vehicle operations. Incumbent assists in planning, directing, organizing, coordinating and supervising Center operations to meet organizational goals, objectives and requirements. Analyzes squadron mission, goals, processes and procedures and participates in strategic planning to facilitate efficiencies and increase mission capabilities. Assists in developing short and Jong term goals and objectives and in developing and implementing a plan of action to accomplish goals. Provides management advisory services to senior leadership and activity managers on routine and complex issues pertaining to appropriate utilization of Center and activity level resources and recommends actions to achieve desired results. Assists in development and implements plans for central warehousing of approximately $3M in NAF inventory consisting of a wide range of products and supplies for serviced activities. Assists in development and implements plans for the acquisition, distribution, operation, and maintenance of a fleet of approximately 200 general/special purpose vehicles to include specialized industrial and construction equipment. Assists in development and implements plans for accountability and disposition of $67M in NAF property and equipment. Ensures facility resources to include warehouses, freezer/refrigerator units, storage compounds, maintenance & repair center, and machine shop are fully utilized and managed in meeting mission requirements, goals and objectives. Ensures all program areas comply with Air Force, DoD, federal, host nation laws and regulatory guidance as applicable to the operations. Develops internal policies and procedures to ensure uniform operations. Applies resource protection practices to ensure the security of facilities and assets to include resale inventories, supplies, material, vehicles and equipment. Provides input for budget and ensures program is operated within budgetary constraints. Deals with local vendors and contractors. Utilizes multiple automated systems unique to FSS activities. Applies AF Safety, OSHA and HAZMAT standards. Supervises NAF & LN employees. Operates general/special purpose vehicles and MHE assigned to the Center. Performs manual labor in/outdoors. Performs other duties as assigned. Position is a position of trust. Works under supervision of the Chief, Support Services Center.
