For the GS-11 and GS-12, a second professional law degree (LL.M) that required at least one full academic year of graduate study may be substituted for one year of professional legal experience.
Must have a J.D. Degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the bar of the highest court of a State of the United States or a Territory of the United States. A minimum of three (3) years post-law school legal experience as either a military judge advocate or in private practice providing client representation and demonstrated litigation experience is highly desired.
