Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As an Interdisciplinary Scientist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Serves as a COR/PO and is responsible primarily for program support, program management, administration, and evaluation of advanced development and acquisition of particular medical countermeasures as assigned by the Branch Chief, Division Director and senior leadership of BARDA.
- Provides scientific and program management oversight over comprehensive advanced medical countermeasure development (manufacturing, testing, clinical and non-clinical, regulatory, and quality aspects) programs for cost, schedule and performance.
- Analyzes the expected impact of scientific and technical developments and contemplated budget revisions, program adjustments, economic trends, or directives from senior leadership upon the assigned project and takes independent action to minimize adverse effects and provide information to HHS senior leadership.
- Considers logistics processes, programs and functional requirements, relative to available financial and human resources and the broad strategies necessary to balance these.
