Anniston Army Depot (ANAD) is a major United States Army facility for the production and repair of ground combat vehicles, overhaul of Small Arms Weapon Systems. The depot is located in Bynum, Alabama also known as Calhoun County which is 10 miles west of Anniston and it covers 15,200 acres which has been named "The Model City" by Atlanta newspaperman Henry W.
