Applicants will be evaluated on the following factors: (1) the depth, breadth, and quality of their recent and relevant professional legal experience in one or more of the DON OGC practice areas listed above, and their academic credentials; (2) the strength of their research, analytical, and writing skills; (3) the strength of their oral communication and interpersonal skills and their ability to work independently and as part of a team; (4) their ability to establish strong attorney-client relationships and work effectively with senior military and civilian clients, including general officers and members of the Senior Executive Service; and (5) their ability to respond quickly, accurately, and creatively in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with the Department of the Navy, OGC, and the United States Marine Corps is not required but is desirable.
