Specialized Experience required for in-service applicants:
One year of specialized experience which includes 1) maintaining law and order to protect life and property, detecting and investigating crimes, arresting or apprehending violators, and performing patrols; (2) performing protection duties to deter, detect, or deny unauthorized access at fixed installation, internal compound, or incident perimeter posts; and (3) using word processing and web-based law enforcement computer programs to establish, update, query or print detailed reports, forms, or citations concerning incidents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
