This position is located in a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) office. The primary purpose of this position is to operate one or more types of gasoline or diesel powered engineering and construction heavy equipment in flat or rolling terrain environments with simple terrain problems only. In addition, the position may perform various non-series controlling related duties up to the WG-08 level.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Wage Grade (WG) positions.
This position is considered a career ladder opportunity, with a full performance level of WG-10. If selected at a lower grade level, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next grade level at the discretion of your supervisor and is contingent upon meeting regulatory and legal requirements for promotion, satisfactory performance, and the availability of higher-level work.
