The primary duty location for this position is the JBSA Lackland NAF Resource Accounting Office.
This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week. May work up to 40 hrs/week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Provides administrative support assistance for the 502nd Force Support Squadron. Reports directly to the flight chiefs and/or operations officer. Duties include but are not limited to administrative support to the Flight Chiefs, Assistant Flight Chiefs and Operations Officers within the squadron. Knowledgeable in Word, Power Point, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and can build presentations using each of these tools and produces reports and other information upon request. Takes own initiative and continually devises and recommends changes in administrative procedures, internal controls and ensures that changes follow proper AFI procedures and/or other appropriate guidance. Reconciles purchase card orders, invoices and other reports that apply to the flights. May be appointed as the NAF/APF purchase card holder or approving official. Provides updates to schedules and policies to all activity managers. Responds to inquiries and notifies appropriate staff members with information or recommendations and prepares responses. Screens calls and visitors when appropriate and answers questions consistent with administrative policies set in place. Receives/screens all correspondence for flight chiefs, and operations officer, composes/prepares reports and correspondence, some of which may be confidential in nature, and prepares for signature. Responsible for receipt, control, safekeeping and appropriate actions on all material received. Builds timelines and keeps supervisors/flight chiefs abreast of forthcoming events and informs on status of projects. Maintains a calendar for all flight activities to include events, meetings, suspense's', etc. Reviews 502 FSS website/Facebook page to ensure that squadron information posted is correct and current. Maintains files in accordance with ERM practices if applicable and keeps library of all pertinent instructions, pamphlets, and other guidance that supports the flights. Responsible for all aspects in maintaining/reporting payroll and personnel actions. Serves as alternate timekeeper for each activity manager and creates individual time/pay records for each pay period via applicable automated payroll system (SETS). Advises approving officials when timecards are ready for approval. Prepares and/or instructs activity managers on preparation of purchase requests through IBPS NAF-T System. Prepares, instructs, and advises managers on how to use Defense Travel System (DTS). Assists in preparing the AF2583; Request for Personnel Security Actionin support of Squadron Security Background Checks, and assist squadron security manager in ensuring completion of employee background checks in JPAS. Prepares cash reports and notifies supervisor of any erroneous information for corrections. Maintains supplies for flights.
