This position is part of the Selective Service System, Information Technology Division. The incumbent manages employees in the accomplishment of assigned duties 20% of the time and defines and manages cybersecurity related programs and/or projects to include strategic direction for cybersecurity program initiatives and activities, Security Operations Center (SOC) personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, IT and/or cybersecurity awareness, and/or other resources.

At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of specialized experience for this position includes (1) defining and managing a cybersecurity program and/or managing strategic cybersecurity initiatives, activities, or projects; (2) managing employees in the accomplishment of assigned workload and assignments by assuring adherence to policy and procedures and progress toward established goals; AND (3) developing system components and architectures consistent with technical specifications.

IT-related experience which demonstrates the (four) required competencies - Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
