Assistant Contract Specialist- Performs all cradle to grave procurement duties with assistance or guidance from higher level Contract Specialist as needed. Serves as Contracting Officer within prescribed limitations.
Contract Specialist Level I- Performs all cradle to grave procurement functions related to supply and service procurements. May require occasional assistance/guidance from higher level Contract Specialists for non-routine assignments. Serves as Contracting Officer with signatory authority within prescribed limitations.
Contract Specialist Level II- Performs all cradle to grave procurement functions related to supply and service procurements. Work assignments are performed independently with minimal to no supervision. Serves as Contracting Officer with signatory authority within prescribed limitations.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all cradle to grave procurement functions in accordance with policy and procedures for pre-solicitation, solicitation, award/post-award actions to include, but not limited to the following: Acquisition Planning; Source Selection; Contract Negotiations; Contract Administration; Performance Deficiencies; Changes; Terminations; Protests; Disputes; Claims; Simplified Acquisition and Micro Purchase.
A 4-year a bachelor's degree, in any field;
OR
At least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

This is a three level grade/salary code progression position. Selectee will be placed in the position at the level commensurate to their experience. Candidate selected at the Assistant Contract Specialist position may advance non-competitively to the next higher level(s) upon successful completion of qualification requirements.
