The incumbent serves as Director for Native Arts and Tribal Affairs at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), reporting to the Senior Deputy Chair. In this capacity, you will:
-Serve as the NEA's primary liaison between the agency and indigenous communities.
-Work within the NEA to coordinate and align related work across offices.
-Responsible for nation-to-nation relationships with federally recognized tribes (including management of tribal consultation), advising the Chair the Senior Deputy Chair, and other offices on tribal engagement and agency strategy to serve Native peoples and communities, developing and managing cooperative agreements, grants and other resources to support the advancement of native arts and tribal affairs.
