Assists in the efficient and effective operation of the Outdoor Recreation program including, but not limited to swimming, hiking, biking, camping, boating, fishing, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, indoor climbing wall, equipment rental and retail sales. Maintains equipment and facilities cleanliness and safety features to ensure safe working conditions prior to use and/or rental. Operates cash register and point of sales equipment as required for day-to-day operations. Accounts for, safeguards and documents cash, check and credit card receipts and expenditures. Provides safety orientation to participants prior to taking part in program activities and when checking out equipment. Maintains spreadsheets for daily and monthly accounting of customers, rental reservations, RecTrac point of sales system transactions, monthly inventories, and NAF purchasing via NAF Purchasing Card. Provides instruction and guidance to participants during Outdoor Adventure trips. Operates a 15 pax van to transport customers to and from Outdoor Adventure Program destinations. Tows equipment trailers to include kayak and canoe trailers, 6x12 enclosed and 4x6 enclosed trailers. Duties require weekend and occasional evening work. Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
