Physician positions are a mission critical occupation for HRSA. These positions are responsible for formulation of policy and programs administered by Health Resources and Services Administration to provide advice and assistance to Bureaus, Department of Health and Human Services, and other Federal entities as related to the medical aspects of primary health care programs for underserved populations.
This position is located in the Health Resources and Services Administration, Health Systems Bureau, Health Systems Bureau, Division of National Hansen's Disease Program, Clinical Branch. The duty location for this position is in Baton Rouge, LA.
The incumbent will have the choice of selecting a Part-Time or Full-Time schedule.
Part Time Employment Defined: A part-time permanent employee has a career or career-conditional appointment (or a permanent appointment in the excepted service), works between 16 and 32 hours each week (or between 32 and 64 hours a pay period) on a prearranged schedule, and is eligible for fringe benefits. Part-time permanent employees are eligible, on a prorated basis, for the same benefits as full-time employees: leave, retirement, and health and life insurance coverage.

As a Pathologist within the National Hansen's Disease Program, you will establish correct diagnoses on difficult and complex cases of Hansen's disease.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
This position has an education requirement. You must submit a copy of your transcripts (or a list of your courses including titles, credit hours completed and grades) to document that you have met the education requirement.
