DUTY 1 - Plans, organizes, and advises on cyberspace operations activities. Provides input on cyber operations planning and execution using knowledge of joint operations planning to ensure seamless integration of cyberspace operations and capabilities in support of national missions. Serves as senior information technology specialist and subject matter expert on cyberspace operations to bridge operational to tactical gaps and provide relevant support to CCMD planning. Manages the activities of the division and ensures continued effective coordination and integration of processes in support of CCMD. Reviews and analyzes plans and current issues to determine specific actions and/or recommendations to enable/ensure mission success. Interprets regulations and provides advice, assistance, and policy guidance to units on implementation of headquarters/gaining command's guidance. Advises the Division Chief and Director on operational and strategic level planning initiatives. Ensures overarching policies from higher headquarters are integrated into policies, procedure, and operations. Sets team goals, assigns team members to various teams, administratively directs the teams, and provides cyberspace operations technical assistance to the team. Evaluates team projects for compliance with standards and directives.
DUTY 2 -Provides operational, managerial, procedural, policy requirements and oversight along with resource activities. Gives overall specific guidance, continuity and direction that impacts CO. Directs staff activities pertaining to the division to identify ways and means to contribute to campaign objectives and to ensure accomplishment of the mission. Provides knowledge and expertise to resolve problems. Uses data to inform and set program priorities and identify policy challenges/opportunities. Develops guidelines to implement and/or clarify policy and mission objectives. Develops guidelines to implement policies and standards on implementing CO, training, and exercise activities.
DUTY 3 - Represents the CO-IPE at meetings and conferences. Specifically advocates for cyberspace operations to provide input on programs and policies. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other coordinating organizations. Delivers presentations on readiness status, accomplishments, problems, requirements for support, and promotion of program objectives to senior military officers and civilians in other program offices of the command. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow- up. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals. Research and provide recommendations to senior leadership on appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact the organization, command, or agency, and which affect the structure and future work of the organization.
DUTY 4 - Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO and diversity objectives.
