Education Aide: In this exciting role the aide will assist in delivering formal and informal educational programs and hands-on activities for classroom, Exhibition Hall, and outdoor venues. Additionally, the student employee will assist with volunteer training, creating content for interpretive signs, and coordinating materials preparation and classroom, cart, or venue set-up, to communicate the significance of Congress to everyday life and the role of citizens in the democratic process, to the many visitors of the Capitol. Students in this role will also research and recommend themes, content, materials and techniques for educational programming in a museum, outdoor, and classroom setting, and have the opportunity to deliver programs using inquiry and object-based learning techniques and facilitate discussion with visitors to engage them with content, programs and activities throughout the Capitol Visitor Center.
