As a Survey Statistician, you will perform the following duties:
Basic Education Requirements
GS-1530 (Statistics):
In addition to meeting the basic education and/or experience requirements described above, you must also meet the following specialized experience.
For the GS-11 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in the Federal service applying mathematical statistical theories to execute statistical and survey projects. Examples of specialized experience at this level include: Assisting in planning and implementing ongoing statistical methodology and statistical surveys; participating in developing methods for analyzing and publicizing data; recommending proposals for modifying survey, analysis, publication, and communication techniques; conducting review of data reports and statistical summaries.

3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
a combination of graduate level education beyond the first 2 years of progressively higher graduate study and appropriate specialized experience that together meet the qualification requirements of this position.
For the GS-12 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service planning and implementing ongoing statistical methodology and statistical surveys; developing methods for analyzing and publicizing data. Examples of specialized experience at this level include: analyzing, organizing, managing, and interpreting statistical data and complex datasets; analyzing, designing, and developing data visualizations, data mining and optimization tools and technologies in a variety of business functions. Preparing reports, presentations, outreach materials, and briefings that convey findings to management and various stakeholders.
For the GS-13 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service leading the technical development and completion of ongoing statistical and survey projects. Examples of specialized experience at this level include running a team that organizes and stores a wide variety of complex datasets with associated documentation and metadata used by multiple researchers; overseeing the development and deployment of tools and technologies required to support statistical research objectives; reviewing and editing technical and administrative products of a statistical or survey organization to ensure they meet proscribed quality standards before release.
Relocation Expenses will not be paid.
