This position will allow you to use your expertise in audio visual production to become a vital and essential part of the agency's mission. Apply for this exciting opportunity to serve the policies, programs and activities of the agency's overarching communication program. This position starts at a salary of $112,015.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $145,617.00 (GS-13, Step 10) with promotion potential to $145,617.00 (GS-13 Step 10).
In this Audiovisual Production Specialist position, you will be directly involved as a vital and essential part the agency mission aiding in fulfilling legal and executive mandates of informing and educating agency employees. Typical work assignments include:
- Managing the Information Display System (IDS) digital signage system that broadcasts digital images and videos containing current and relevant information to the USBP workforce nationwide via a network of television displays powered by individual display engines (computers) that are linked to a central IDS manager software and server
- Researching and analyzing capabilities and limitations of new software, hardware and equipment for managing the lifecycle and maintenance of IDS
- Creating digital media including static picture slides, video clips, messages from the chief of USBP, and media similar to public service announcements for IDS by developing and using skills and expertise in appropriate design packages including but not limited to Adobe Creative Cloud and Storyblocks
- Identifying next generation technology, including integrated capabilities and keeping up-to-date with technological and software developments as necessary to maintain and expand the capabilities of the IDS and create IDS content
- Creating and maintaining agency wide policies and procedures pertaining to the administration of IDS and ensuring that sectors are in compliance with those policies and procedures
