This position is located in the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) under the direction, authority, and control of the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). Major duties and responsibilities will also include:
Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) level III certification in Program Management is required for this position. Must have or obtain Level III Advanced Acquisition Certification within 48 months and maintain it. The incumbent is required to sign a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) service agreement to remain assigned to the position for three years.
Veterans preference is not applicable to the Senior Executive Service.

The Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (USD(I&S)) is the principal staff assistant (PSA) to the Secretary of Defense (SecDef) regarding Intelligence, Counterintelligence (CI), Security, Law Enforcement, sensitive activities and other intelligence-related matters and the SecDef's principal representative to the Intelligence Community. The USD(I&S) exercises authority, direction, and control on behalf of the SecDef over the National Security Agency/Central Security Service, the Defense Intelligence Agency, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, the National Reconnaissance Office, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.
